CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria for integrated LLB

Minimum educational qualification for CLAT 2022Candidates must have completed the examination from a reputable institution or an equivalent examination of Class 12 (10+2).
Candidates who take the qualifying test in March/April 2022 will also be eligible to take the CLAT 2022. Such applicants will be expected to provide verification of their educational qualifications during the CLAT counselling and admission process, or their admission will be revoked.
Minimum marks in required in qualifying examThe candidate's qualifying examination (10+2) or an equivalent grade must have resulted with aggregate marks of 45%.

SC and ST applicants must get at least 40% or comparable grades in their qualifying exams.

CLAT LLM Eligibility Criteria 2022

Educational QualificationThe candidate must hold an LLB (5-year or 3-year) degree from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Candidates who take the qualifying test in April/May 2022 are also eligible to apply for the CLAT LLM 2022. Such applicants, however, will be required to provide verification of their certification at the time of counselling and seat allocation.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2022: Points to Remember

  • Even if they pass the entrance exam, candidates who do not meet the CLAT 2022 eligibility will be refused. As a result, applicants must carefully study the NLU Consortium’s qualifying criteria.
  • Candidates must get the minimum necessary marks in the qualifying test (Class 12 for CLAT UG and last year of degree for CLAT PG). Candidates who do not get the required minimum marks in the qualifying examination will be excluded from the CLAT admission procedure.
  • Candidates who are taking the qualifying examination must present their qualifying exam results, as well as their mark sheet/certificate, at the time of counselling, otherwise their admission may be revoked.
  • Candidates applying under the reserved category, domicile category, must present supporting documentation.

 

CLAT Eligibility Criteria for NRI Students

Candidates in the NRI/ NRI Sponsored category are granted seats under the NRI Quota. Admissions are handled separately by the involved universities based on CLAT scores.

  • Candidates seeking admission under the NRI/NRI sponsored category must contact the respective university directly for admission processes, eligibility, needed papers, and other related questions.
  • Admission to WBNUJS in Kolkata (West Bengal) is determined by a number of criteria. It goes like this:
  • CLAT Office will produce a list of students who are qualified to apply for admission in this category.
  • NRI candidates must submit the following documents at the time of CLAT admission:
  • a copy of the student’s valid Indian passport
  • a copy of any visas received in the previous 12 months.
  • The person must have a certificate from the local embassy confirming that they are an NRI/OCI or have a PIO Card.

 

  • A total of 17 seats are available for undergraduate programs, but no seats are available for postgraduate studies.
  • NRI Sponsored Candidates must submit the following documents at the time of admission:
  • Sponsor’s copy of a valid Indian passport.
  • A copy of the Sponsor’s visas obtained in the last 12 months.
  • The Sponsor must have a certificate from the local embassy confirming that he or she is an NRI, OCI, or PIO Card holder.
  • An affidavit from the sponsor stating the sponsor’s interest in the student’s education and desire to support the student’s education for the following five years.

 

Sponsors for NRI Students

  • The person who voluntarily supports a student’s admission must be a first-degree relative of the student and a Non-Resident Indian residing outside of India.
  • Students without parents or close relatives who have been taken in as wards by another family may also be considered for admission. The guardian must have handled the applicant as a ward in accordance with the law.
  •  These guardians must sign an affidavit confirming their interest in the candidate’s education and their relationship with him or her. That person must also be a Non-Resident Indian who regularly travels outside of India.
