What is NEET PG 2021?

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and PG is for Post-Graduation. NEET PG is an entrance exam for entry in post-graduation in medical colleges. NEET PG exam clearance is important to have admission in MD (Doctor of Medicines) and MS (Master of Surgery).

The NEET PG 2021 entrance test conducting body is NBE- National Board of Examinations. The board takes care of the exam from the initials to the result declaration. Candidates who hold an MBBS (or provisional) degree are eligible to apply for the exam online. The NEET application form 2021 is anticipated to be available in October 2021, with the exam taking place in January 2021.

NEET PG 2021 Application Form

NEET PG Application Form will be available in 2021. Candidates should read the following important facts about the NEET PG application form 2021:

  1. The application form for NEET PG 2021 will be available in the fourth week of February 2021.
  2. The NEET PG 2021 application form will be available online, and applicants will be able to fill it out and submit it on the NBE’s official website, nbe.edu.in.
  3. Filling out an online application include creating a login id and password, adding pictures such as a photograph and signature, uploading documents, choosing an exam city, and paying the exam cost.
  4. Before filling up the NEET PG 2021 online application form, you must first register.
  5. Candidates must create a login ID and password by providing basic information such as their name, date of birth, and academic credentials.
  6. Candidates should take a printout of the completed application form along with the transaction id written on it after it has been submitted.
  7. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will offer a rectification window for applicants to alter specific facts in their NEET PG application form.
  8. Through the rectification window, candidates can modify some facts in their application, such as their date of birth, gender, and signature.

NEET PG 2021 Eligibility Criteria 

The general eligibility criteria for every aspirant for NEET PG-

  • Candidates of Indian nationality, Indian citizens living abroad, and foreign nationals are all eligible.
  • NEET PG 2021 is open to applicants having an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate approved under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
  • A MCI/ SMC permanent/ temporary registration certificate for MBBS qualification is also necessary.
  • The candidates must have completed or will finish a one-year internship before March 31, 2021.
  • In addition to meeting the above-mentioned standards, Indian nationals or overseas citizens of India who received their primary medical qualifications from medical colleges outside of India must pass the NBE’s Foreign Medical Graduate Examination.
  • Foreign nationals can take the test without a temporary MCI registration, but they must get one before the course begins.

NEET PG 2021 Admit Card

The candidates need admit card to appear for the exam. The admit card for NEET PG 2021 will be published in the second week of April 2021. Candidates should be aware that only registered candidates will get their admission cards through the internet. Those deemed ineligible will not be given an admission card for the NEET PG 2021 test. Candidates will be able to download it using their login id and password from the NBE’s official website. Individual applicants will not get NEET PG admission cards from the NBE. However, applicants will be notified of their availability through email or SMS.

NEET PG 2021 Exam Analysis

The test style, language, duration, total number of questions and their types, and marking scheme are all part of the NEET PG exam pattern. To understand the NEET PG 2021 test pattern, refer to the following pointers:

  • NEET PG 2021 will be held in a computer-based format at specified test centres across the country.
  • Language: The question paper will only be available in English.
  • Number of questions and type: The exam paper will have 200 multiple-choice questions.
  • The test duration is 3.5 hours, and candidates will have entire 3.5 hours to complete it.
  • Candidates will receive four points for each correct answer, but one point will be removed for each incorrect response.

NEET PG 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

A candidate should adhere to common rules and regulations to be followed on the day of examination. The rules are-

  • Candidates should be at the exam centre at least an hour before the exam.
  • All candidates are required to go through the security processes.
  • Calculators, smart watches, pagers, and other electronic devices are not permitted in the exam room.
  • Bags, books, pens, pencil boxes, writing pads, and other items should not be brought to the exam centre. These things are prohibited within the test hall, and there are no arrangements for their storage at the centre.

NEET PG 2021 Syllabus

Candidates should be aware with the curriculum for the syllabus of NEET PG 2021 test so that they may plan their preparation properly. According to the Medical Council of India’s Graduate Medical Education Regulations, the NEET PG syllabus includes academic areas. Many of the disciplines taught in MBBS/BDS degrees overlap with the NEET PG 2021 syllabus. To do well on the test, candidates need fully study these courses. NEET PG 2021 Result

Following the announcement of the results, the candidate’s name, roll number, category, total marks out of 800, and total number of right and wrong replies will be listed on the scorecard. NEET PG 2021 Cut Off

The NEET PG cut off is the minimal score required for students to be admitted to MD program. MS and diploma program are available. Those who do not meet the NBE’s cutoff point are not eligible for admission. For different categories of students, the NEET PG 2021 cut off will be varied. The NEET PG cutoff is 50% for general applicants and 40% for ST/ SC/ OBC students. The cutoff percentile for generic PwD applicants is 45. If the number of eligible candidates is deemed to be inadequate, the NBE will alter the usual cutoff percentile for the NEET PG result.
