NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021

According to the requirements of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, the eligibility criteria for NEET PG have been established. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) played no part in the development of the NEET PG qualifying criteria. It is the National Testing Agency (NTA) who specifies NEET 2021 eligibility criteria for all the aspiring medical candidates. Medical graduates who wish to continue post graduation needs to meet the NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria to qualify to apply for the examination.

Eligibility requirements NEET 2021

The qualifying requirements for NEET PG may be found in the information brochure provided by the authorities. The prerequisites for the All India Quota (AIQ) 50 percent seats, Foreign Nationals (FN), Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG), and common requirements for all are stated individually in the information brochure. Internship

Only those who finish a one-year mandatory rotatory internship before June 30, 2021 will be able to enrol for NEET PG 2021. Candidates who do not finish their internship within the allotted period will be able to take the test the following year.

Certificate of Registration

Candidates must also have a valid Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council (SMC) in order to apply for NEET PG 2021. On the day of the test, candidates must provide a copy of their Registration Certificate for verification. The candidate will not be permitted to sit for the exam if he or she does not have a Registration Certificate. The candidate must have finished or be on the verge of completing an internship on or before March 31, 2021.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria for AIQ seats

The following are the conditions that applicants must meet in order to be considered for a 50% AIQ seat:

Medical graduates from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIQ 50% seats. Only applicants from Jammu and Kashmir who have been nominated by the Government of India for MBBS from medical institutions in Jammu and Kashmir under central pool seats would be eligible for AIQ 50 percent seats. These applicants must provide a fully signed document stating that they have been nominated by the Indian government in the aforementioned category. In order to meet the NEET PG eligibility requirements, this affidavit must be delivered to the following address, along with a printout of the acknowledgement of NEET PG application.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates

  • The National Board of Examinations (NBE) announced the NEET PG 2021 qualifying requirements for Indian residents and overseas nationals who obtained their primary medical qualifications from medical institutions located outside of India’s jurisdiction.
  • The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) should qualify of all foreign medical graduates.
  • Foreign nationals are required to register with MCI/SMC.
  • Candidates must complete their internship in accordance with the NEET PG eligibility requirements, which include rules for all in common.
  • FMG candidates must carry their FMGE Pass certificate given by NBE on the day of the NEET PG examination.
  • Foreign medical graduates must have completed their internship with any organization on or before 30th June 2021.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria for foreign nationals

Foreign nationals who are interested in applying for NEET PG 2021 must meet the following requirements-

They must possess a basic medical qualification recognised by the Medical Council of the respective nation. They must register with the relevant government agency in their particular nation.

In order to apply for NEET PG 2021, such candidates need not need an MCI Registration Certificate. They must pay the registration cost to MCI after passing the examination and securing a seat through NEET PG 2021. They will then be granted a temporary registration. This registration is only valid for the length of the course in question.
